Wired access points, not another mesh node
Mesh kits sell well because they are easy to buy. In a home with real walls they halve their own throughput relaying traffic, and the dead spot moves rather than goes away. Access points on a wired backhaul fix the problem properly. We have replaced a mesh setup with wired APs on exactly this complaint and the trouble stopped.
Network design for the building you have
A pre-war building with plaster and wire lath is not an open-plan new build. We work out where the cable can go and where the access points need to sit before anything is mounted.
Structured wiring
Ethernet runs to the places that benefit from being wired — desks, TVs, consoles, access points — terminated and labeled properly.
IP cameras
Cameras specified and placed for the angles that actually matter, with recording you control.
The groundwork smart-home gear depends on
Thermostats, locks, doorbells and speakers all sit on the network, and most of the time they misbehave it is the network underneath them at fault, not the device. We build that layer so it holds.

Service calls on what is already there, including systems somebody else installed.
How it works
- We look at the place. Layout, construction, where the service comes in, where the coverage fails now and what is plugged into it.
- We tell you what it needs. What to wire, where the access points go and what can stay. If what you have will do the job, we will say so.
- We install it. Cable run and terminated, access points mounted, cameras placed, everything configured and tested.
- We are there afterwards. Devices get added, layouts change, things break. Call us.

Common questions
My WiFi is bad. Do I need to replace everything?
Usually not. Sometimes it is configuration, sometimes it is one access point in the wrong place. We would rather tell you it is a small fix than sell you a system you do not need.
Is mesh WiFi not good enough?
It depends on the building. Mesh works where the nodes can hear each other clearly. In a long apartment or a brownstone with thick walls, running cable and mounting proper access points gives a better result for similar money. We replaced a mesh network with wired access points on a Nassau County job for that reason and the coverage problems went away.
Do you do apartments, or only houses?
Both. Apartments, brownstones, co-ops and single-family homes — the approach is the same, the scale is not.
Can you install smart home devices as well?
We build and fix the network, WiFi and camera side, which is the layer smart-home devices actually depend on. If you have gear that keeps dropping offline, that is usually our problem to solve. Tell us what you are running and we will be straight with you about what is and is not ours.
